Special Announcement
I've been avoiding this for months, but it's now time to bite the proverbial bullet. After over a decade of web-hosting, I've decided to shut down my website.
I started watching Power Rangers back in high school, but it was really in college when a simple pastime grew into a passionate hobby. That's when I first met the world wide web, and I had the opportunity to interact with other fans. When I realized there was an actual audience for all the ideas bouncing around in my head, I couldn't stop myself from writing. And then writing grew into art design, as I put some creative design classes into action.
This website was my creative outlet for years, and it opened the path of communication with other fans of Power Rangers, of all ages and from all around the world. It was great being part of this web community, and it was especially important to me in my transitional years. However, as life marches onward, I've recognized that there's really no longer room for Power Rangers.
Wise king Solomon said that there was a time for everything under the sun, and I think my time as a Power Rangers author and webmaster has passed. Back in 2001, it took me a few months to finish a massive epic. Now, my works in progress have been in progress for over six years. That's just not reasonable, and as time passed, the creativity that used to flow like a faucet became a weak trickle. I've spent more time re-reading my past work to try and recapture my author's voice than I have actually writing anything. And then it hit me - I just don't love it anymore. What used to be fun had become a frustrating chore, and I wondered why I put myself through it.
Well, I put myself through it for all of you. Your continuing streams of support have always been appreciated, but I realized that, as much as I would like to see these works completed, I just don't have it in me.
So, as I try to figure out how to stop Yahoo! from charging my credit card, I thought I'd give you all a heads' up. Feel free to help yourselves to the artwork on this site. I'm not sure how long it will take for the site to disappear, but I did pay for the space through November, so I expect there's at least another week.
Thanks again for all your interest, encouragement, and support over these ten-plus years. I'm really glad to have been part of such an enthusiastic web community.
