I hope you've enjoyed The Tablets of Destiny! But of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you're eager to explore more of the Ranger-Web, then here's your portal. I've decided to group the links into four sections for easier navigation: General, Fanfiction, Shrines, and Non-Ranger Sites. The first three all have Power Rangers content, while the forth category is a collection of webpages I personally enjoy that aren't Power Ranger related.
If you know of a quality Power Rangers website that isn't linked below, send me the URL and a brief summary of it's content. If you'd like to link to this website, feel free! You know what they say: if you scratch my back...
Fanfiction Websites
The Age of Chaos
My good friend Zack "Hellfire" Mendorra is revising his inspired "The New Enemy Saga" completely, and has launched his own website to archive the brand-new "The Age of Chaos" saga. This site also includes an informative image gallery with all the original characters, making "The Age of Chaos" a unique PR fanfiction experience.
May the Power Protect You: A PR Fanfiction Site
This is the home of Jeannine "Writing Machine" Trevizo's Power Rangers fanfiction, featuring the popular Dino Thunder series "Always a Ranger." Jeannine's fics are definitely worth a read, particularly if you happen to be a Kim/Tommy fan. There are a lot of Dino Thunder era Kim/Tommy fics, but I found "Always a Ranger" to be particularly interesting, and well written.
Secrets of the Chamber
This is Pink Stranger's website, and it features fanfiction and character stats from several incarnations of Power Rangers. Make sure to stop by the shrine to Katherine and Tommy, which highlights images and fanfic.
Luellon's Loft
My good friend Lue is back online, and I'm glad of it! Drop by for terrific tributes to Trini, Astronema, Delphine, Kim. Also, make sure to check out her fanfiction, including some great original Trini-centric series, and stand alones.
Between the Lines
This site was designed and created by my good friend Nancy Shaw (many thanks, Nan!), dedicated to our collaboration with the fab authors Laura Boren and Ellen Brand. The site houses the epic story, as well as images, links, and other stuff. If you haven't read "Between the Lines" yet, you're in for a crossover drama that is truly unique.
Rain's World
Rain Fletcher is a legend amongst the Power Ranger fanfiction community. His mind-blowing tale "Earthsiege," completed back in 1998, set the standard for epic fanfiction, and has yet to be dethroned as the best epic I've ever read. The Machine Empire teams up with a mysterious new ally, and launches an assault on Earth so devestating, the Zeo Rangers must assemble every possible resource to save the planet.
Kristen's Daydreams
Kristen hasn't been writing PR fanfic for years, but her epic "Flesh and Blood" is one of my favorite PR stories. A terrific alternaverse tale, focusing on "What if the Green Ranger stayed evil?" In this reality, the Rangers weren't able to save Tommy, who became the head warrior of Rita's empire. Excellent read... with plenty of surprises.
Conquest of Evil
"Conquest of Evil" is an ongoing saga ambitiously recreating the entire Power Rangers universe. It's an incredible tale, featuring more Rangers than I could possibly count! The Rangers encounter an evil like none other, whose dark power threatens not only the Angel Grove... but all of reality.
Cloud Nine
Here's the place to go to read Kimera's own fanfic, featuring "Simple Wishes," a PRiS series heavy on the sap (but who doesn't love some sap??). She's also got fanfic from other genres, including Gundam Wing. Well, I'm still eagerly awaiting that one...
Power Rangers Beyond
Darkness has descended upon the planet Mirinoi. One-hundred years after the arrival of the Terra Venture, a new group of heroes must arise against the forces of darkness. Go Beyond, with the next generation of power.
Power Rangers Three
This is a new site, featuring the adventures of an original Power Rangers team. The forces of Hell are conspiring to launch an attack on Earth, and the Rangers are recruited to serve as the first line of defense.
The Atrium of Valiant
My friend James has got one bizarre website! But it's lots of fun, with PR spoofs inspired by such youth-culture phenomenons as South Park. And for those of you interested in more serious story-telling, James delivers there too! Check out the Volumes of Thanatos (in "Funaki's Evil Funland") for a nice origin-tale of the Rangers, as well as some strong standalones.
The Fanfic Shoppe
Well, I can hardly say this website is new. In fact, Kittie's delightful Shoppe was the first home of my fanfiction, back in the ancient past when the world was new (okay... 1997). However, it's gone through more changes than the Rangers themselves, disappearing from servers only to return with the same quirky humor and blooming fanfic library that made it an internet legend.
Jenga's Library
This one's not new either. In fact, it was once the largest Power Rangers website in existence, with an image gallery that by far exceeded my own, and an endless fanfic archive. What happened? Well, JRL was slowly going insane maintaining such a titanic page, and when Simplenet disappeared, so did The Power Core. However, JRL relocated! And he still offers a terrific fanfiction website, featuring a more exclusive cut of authors, including JRL himself (master of "The Earth Crystals" saga), Ellen Brand (the genius behind "Personality Conflicts"), Dagmar Buse (acclaimed writer of many a Kat/Jason tale), Cheryl Roberts ("All I Want for Christmas" and "Dark Lady" are mind-blowing), and Julia H. (love her "Shades of the Prism" series)... among others.
Paladar's World of Fanfic
Paladar has an incredible collection of PR fanfic, and then some! Truly enormous, but use friendly. I don't know whether or not this Smithsonian of Power Rangers fanfic is still being updated, but there is plenty to skim through. All stories are archived by the author's name.
The C&S FanFic Chamber
The website maintained by "C", Capri, and "S", Stacy Burgess. Their fanfics, as well as their collabs and other authors, are archived here. A wonderful collection, which thankfully includes some older authors, as well as newer ones. I suggest you drop by, and enjoy the works of Don Berry and Cheryl Roberts in particular.
Fanfiction.net
This is the internet hub for fanfiction of any genre. And I was shocked to learn it features over a thousand Power Rangers stories! Updated constantly (as writers have the freedom to post their stories whenever they please), this is a nice site to either skim through, or even consider posting your own stories. I'm archived under the name "Vespera," by the way.
General Power Rangers Websites
Guardians of Earth Awards
Looks like there's a new PR Awards for 2005, this one seeking to honor the best of fanfiction. Be sure to check out this site and nominate your favorite fanfics, in such categories as Best Short Story, Best Romance Story, Best Comedy, Best Ending, Best PR Couple In A Story, and many more.
Power Rangers Online
This is a nice, comprehensive information site for every Power Ranger fan. Features a large Database with episode guides, characters, Zords, and summary of each season, with selected images.
Power Rangers Web Boards
This is my friend Aaron's discussion board. So if you want to discuss PR merchandise, submit fanfiction, or debate who your favorite Ranger is, this is a place to do it. Register to join the interactive community.
The Power Ranger Fan Page
This is Sierra Crane's contribution to the Ranger-web, and it's loaded with images featuring primarily the Mighty Morphin,' Lost Galaxy, and Time Force casts. Includes season summaries, fanfiction, and a nice tribute to Thuy Trang. Go check it out!
Syrin's Power Rangers World
Syrin Songstress has put together a terrific page! Featuring material from Mighty Morphin' through the Turbo episode "Passing the Torch," this page provides expansive image galleries, jokes, commentaries, an episode guide, a tribute to Thuy Trang, and much more. She's also requesting that authors submit their fanfic to fill up the archive, so if you're looking for a webhost, make sure to drop her a line.
Prometheus Realm: Airing Schedule
This page has, to my knowledge, the most reliable airing schedule of Power Rangers episodes on both ABC Family and ABC on Saturday mornings. It's a great way to see the titles coming up on reruns, and it even labels the new episodes for easy identification. This page also has schedules for "Smallville."
Power Rangers Central
When I explore this website, I am always floored by the stunning layout and professional design of it. In fact, it far exceeds the offical site in terms of content and appearance. If you're looking for a smooth summary of the characters, themes, and technology appearing in the various Power Rangers incarnations, this is the place to go. And it also features high-quality wallpaper and images.
Writer's Guide to the PR Universe
Joe Rovang must've been delirious when he decided to embark upon this colossal project. Either that, or he lost one heck of a bet! Still, while I might question his sanity, I couldn't find a more useful online PR resource for the life of me. This is the encyclopedia for all things PR, neatly organized by season and easily browsed. It includes a detailed episode guide and cross-references, and even images and descriptions of characters, items, weapons, locations... everything that ever appeared or was mentioned on Power Rangers. It's especially designed for fanfic writers who want to stay true to all the details, but its great for any nit-picker... and it's much easier to skim this page than to fast forward through dozens of PR tapes.
Nak's Power Rangers
This is truly a great comprehensive site. It's got information and image shrines to all the incarnations of Power Rangers, from Adam to Zhane. It also features an excellent collection of Power Rangers links... far more exhaustive than this one. Definitely worth a visit or two... or ten.
Character and Romance Shrines
Dustin and Tori: Friends Forever
Now this is something different... a shrine dedicated not to an actor, a Ranger, or a romance, but to a friendship. And the strong bond between the Yellow and Blue Wind Rangers is a great friendship to examine! They share a lot of screen time, team up to fight evil side by side, and even comfort each other when faced with challenges or heartbreak. There's no doubt that Tori and Dustin are truly close, and this site features fanfic and images that explore this unique relationship.
Kimberly and Tommy: Storybook Romance
This is a new, elegant tribute to my personal fave couple: Kimberly and Tommy! Catharine's site features the webmistress' thoughts on the pair, images, fanfiction, and links to sites that also celebrate the ultimate Ranger Romance. So keep your eye on this page... it's growing every day!
Together Forever: A Jen and Alex Shrine
This is, to my knowledge, the only shrine wholly dedicated to the ground-breaking couple, Jen and Alex. Though life and trials would eventually separate them, Shirley has decided to celebrate this pair with fanworks, images, moments, and her own thoughts about why this match is worth our attention.
PR Music Videos
Well, Diana's site isn't a Romance Shrine in its strictest sense, but it's truly a wonderful site no one can miss! She's designed fantastic music videos to an array of characters and relationships. Be sure to check out the nostalgic Kim/Tommy video "Kiss Me," as well as the touching Tori/Blake vid "I Knew I Loved You." While several couples and individuals are featured, I think Diana's specialty is the Jen/Alex/Wes dynamic, that is addressed in several super videos. Check it out when you have hours to kill, and sit back and watch some of your favorite PR moments pass with an unbeatable musical score.
Thunder and Water: A Tori/Blake Site
And here's the first 'shipper site to Ninja Storm's primary (and probably only) romantic development. This is brand new, but it promises to include fanfiction and images. Nice layout too.
Wild Horses
Sara has once again redesigned her shrine, dedicated to the original Power Couple: Kim and Tommy. This new incarnation is still in the works, but soon we'll see some fantastic content. In the meantime, check out Sara's own fanfic "Unkissable."
A Story Book Love
I think that's a perfect theme for a Kim/Tommy tribute! They really were a storybook couple... the Pink Princess and her dashing White Knight. Her kiss saved him from the edge of despair, his sword saved her from the evil Lord Zedd's clutches. And on this image-intensive site, we reflect on the stages of their relationship: from shy flirting, to steady dating, to sad farewell.
Written in the Stars
Now this is a creative theme. A graceful tribute devoted to the relationships between the various Red and Pink Rangers. Throughout the Sentai series there seemed to be hints of a connection between Pink and Red Rangers, and some of that led to subtle near-romances (Leo/Kendrix, Carter/Dana), and some less than subtle ones (Tommy/Kat, Wes/Jen). Every Red/Pink Ranger match is featured, along with tons of images, season briefs, and Shayna's comments on the romance potential.
Power Rangers Romance Website
Cassie has taken it upon herself to create an archive of romance-themed fanfiction, sharing Ars Amatoria's ultimate goal of celebrating Ranger Romance throughout the eras. The site is still in the preliminary stages, but if you've got romance fanfic to submit, or recommendations she should consider, let her know!
JDF Online
Yes, the gorgeous Tommy Oliver has long since left the Power Rangers... but he's still in our hearts! This JDF fansite focuses on his days as a Power Ranger (of course, there aren't many other shows he's in, so that's a good choice). JDFanatics can feel free to drool as they scroll through this elegantly designed archive, complete with many familiar snapshots, as well as a some new ones.
Amy Jo Johnson - Official Music website
Yep, you read it... official AJJ website. Most genuine AJJ fans know that she's embarked on a professional singing career, and this is the headquarters of her work. Not at all Power Rangers related, but it's a nice site for those who want to support Amy Jo in her new direction.
AmyJoJohnson.Org - Everything Amy Jo
Well, Kim's my fave Ranger, and this is a dynamite site devoted to my fave Ranger! There is a plethora of information on AJJ, as well as pictures, throughout her acting and singing career.
technoJoy - A Jason Chan Fansite
This isn't an official website, but it sure does look like it! If you're a fan of Cam, the most intriguing and nuanced of the Ninja Storm cast, then indulge in a huge gallery, biography, and even information of his pre-PR career on stage and screen.
Non-Ranger Websites
Rocket Town: The ShinRa 26
A site primarily devoted to Final Fantasy VII, but also with nice FFVI and FFVIII branches. My favorite Final Fantasy site, complete with images, bios, excellent fanfiction, unbeatable links, and game tips. Very nice layout, too. And the webmaster makes the most incredible Photoshop images I've ever seen! And if you're interested in great fanfic, I suggest the FFVII fic "Cloud Cover" by Junj, and the FFVIII epic "The Orphan" by Kate. Both are available at Rocket Town, and those are hands down the best FF fanfics I've ever had the priviledge of reading.
Sakura no Kaerizaki
This is a fanfiction website specializing in Final Fantasy fanfiction. It's owned and operated by Junj(ie), whose "Cloud Cover" left me spellbound. There's a plethora of fantastic FF fics here for your enjoyment.
S.O.S. (Save Our Sailors)
I practically live at this website! Every US fan of Sailor Moon must go to this site! Always packed with updated info on the campaign for all 200 episodes of Sailor Moon to be dubbed into English and made available! It's thanks to such overwhelming support for Sailor Moon (including letter-writing campaigns officiated by this website) that we were blessed with the Dark Moon series, and the three movies (both in subtitles and dubbed formats). Go buy Sailor Moon products! Go to this page! SAVE OUR SAILORS!!
Meatball Headed Moon Page
Yeah, I know it sounds kinda funny, but this is really the site for SM info, images, movies... everything! Whew! It even has season summaries, so those of us who only have the first 82 episodes of Sailor Moon available can read about what else happened to Serena/Usagi and the gang. Wonderful site.
Encyclopedia Mythica
I don't know about you, but I love mythology. I've taken courses in Greco-Roman, Akkadian, Sumerian, and Egyptian. But, what if you want to invoke these famous classical figures in a fanfic? Well this is the place go to! And it even has Native American, Hindu, King Arthur, Norse... every kind of mythology you can dream of! A nice archive of easily accessible input. It's definitely more accurate than relying on Xena! :)
Poet's Corner
This is an enormous collection of online poetry, including greats like William Blake, William Shakespeare, John Dryden, Jonathan Swift, John Milton, Ezra Pound... you name it, it's here! This is where I get the poems for Ars Amatoria.
John Bartlett's Familiar Quotations
An amazing archive of the most famous passages from literary works written before 1900. I surf around the Shakespeare collection all the time! Also a nice place to look for insightful e-mail signatures :)
